Recently Faith were asked to work with aged care provider Japara on the creation of a new advertising campaign that built on a very detailed and strategic research study. The research looked at community attitudes of both the general population and those ageing citizens who were contemplating a move into a retirement village or aged care facility. The study did a deep dive into feelings and attitudes. The Faith team was impressed by the work done over an eighteen-month period as well as the Japara staff’s total commitment to showing respect for all those who live in their homes around the country. In addition, they demonstrated a strong belief in valuing each resident’s individuality.

The creative campaign captures that individuality with a serious of radio, press and outdoor advertising that started around the country in early October. The advertising is built around the proposition that if you reside in a Japara home – ‘You’ll stay an individual with us’. This insight comes to life memorably in a series of executions that capture, quite distinctively some of the backgrounds of those who live in Japara homes. The result is a campaign that grabs your attention in a relevant but unexpected way and illustrates clearly what makes a Japara aged care home different to the rest.
